Yesterday was one of those days where I got to have fun making other people happy â no strings attached. Jill Dudley of 34th Street Marketing and I went gallivanting through The District hugging anyone who wanted a little extra love on Valentine's Day. We stopped by businesses, held a mini dance party in front of City Hall, and skipped through Alley A.
There were quite a few kiddos who weren't sure how to interpret our presence, but one, in particular, chased us down Tenth street just to give us high-fives and prompt a discussion about dinos vs. zombies.
A gentleman from our homeless community warmly accepted two hugs as he held his sign which read, "Anything helps."
A loving, elderly couple was getting into their car after a coffee date in the North Village Arts District and appeared overjoyed as we approached. They both took turns hugging us before continuing on their way.
The day was so amazing that Jill and I immediately started brainstorming ways we could use the costumes to help raise money for local organizations (because we're entrepreneurs and always need a new venture...)
